You’ll find quality used clothing, furniture, and small appliances that need a new home. We’re not just excited about the things you can buy, we’re excited about what we are able to do because you buy.
It’s not just a new bedroom chair or fun new sweater, it’s a way to support our work engaging, equipping, and empowering Veterans as they transition from successful active duty to civilian life.
As you shop at 12th Avenue Thrift, you help a Veteran find employment, find sustainable housing, and transition from successful military service to a productive civilian life.
We’re proud our Veterans are eligible for employment training through our retail services job-training program at 12th Avenue Thrift. They learn the basics of retail operations and after a three to four month probationary period, the trainee splits work hours between Thrift and an OSDTN Employment Counselor to find permanent employment.
Veterans served through the OSDTN Veteran Service Center obtain clothing vouchers that allow them to shop in our 12th Avenue Thrift for their clothes at no cost. They are able to pick out the size, style and color they prefer. It’s always a great feeling to see one of our Veterans dressed for success as they head out to their new job.
We’d love to take your gently used, top quality clothes, small appliances, and furniture. You can drop off goods Monday – Saturday: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at the 12th Avenue Thrift. For furniture or large item pickups, call (615) 248-1981 extension 208 to schedule a pick-up. Our pickup area includes Davidson County, Brentwood and Franklin.
